We happen to be staying friday evening on our way to the beach. there was some power outages early evening and i put my keys and things on the nite stand . Left early the next morning. missed my two rings, gold college and initial ring on sunday. Called monday to report. Received call on thursday that my rings were found. Left reward but those rings wouldn't have been found and reported without a good management policy and employee respect. thanks. i left a nice reward but you need to embellish this kind of customer care. thanks. And the rooms were excellent including the breakfast!!

Nous y avons passé une dizaine de jours. Le service a toujours été parfait, et le personnel très sympathique et attentif. C'est un hôtel moderne et une excellente base pour explorer la ville. J'ai adoré le hammam et je retournerais là-bas avec plaisir. 10 sur 10 !

J'ai passé deux jours dans cet hôtel à l'occasion d'un voyage de travail à Rabat. Je suis d'accord sur le fait qu'il n'a rien de remarquable en termes de "couleur locale". Ce n'est pas non plus un hôtel de luxe somptueux. Mais il répond à tous les standards ordinaires, au niveau de la propreté et du service. Le personnel a répondu assez vite à toutes mes requêtes. En tant qu'homme d'affaires, cet établissement m'a donné entière satisfaction. Le restaurant du rez-de-chaussée est bien aussi.

Between the 23rd of December 2007 and the 4th of January 2008 we (Belgian couple 55+) travelled around the imperial cities of Morocco. We chose to stay in IBIS Moussafir Gare hotels in Casablanca (1night), Marrakech (4nights) and Fes (4nights) as they were close to the railway station and in Sofitel Diwan in Rabat (3nights) as Ibis was badly located. We would not change this choice if we would do the same trip over. In every Ibis hotel we found a nice and clean room with bathroom (shower with plenty of hot water, airco) (480MAD), a good bed, a healthy buffet breakfast with fresh orange juice for less than 50MAD, a bar, an acceptable restaurant (menu 125MAD, wine/beer available). Negative point: none of the hotels bothered to stock on (free) town maps. There were some differences : In Casa the receptionist was lazy and the hotel noisy as trains circulate all night, Marra & Fes had a well kept garden with pool, the desk manager of Marrakech was remarkably polyglot, helpful and efficient, the only negative remark on this hotel is the “muzak” that is continuously played ! Sofitel Diwan Rabat is more “chique” but 4 times as expensive; the restaurant “Brasserie” is well worth the detour, the French chef deserves a star.

Before visiting rabat I had read some reviews on moroccan hotels that a 4 star hotel may be more like a 3 star, but after staying at the Sofitel in Rabat, this is not true for atleast this hotel. It meets the standards of a well established 4 star hotel, From the exterior to the lobby to the rooms, everything is nicely finished. The staff are friendly and are always willing to help out. Its also in a very good location and good restaurants are nearby. If you're with a family of young children, you can ask for a communicating room (a door in between two rooms in the hotel) if you havnt already been given it. It was new to me and I found that it was very handy indeed!

	Hotel Raphael - ROME () - IT
Our family of four stayed at the Hotel Raphael from Dec 26-27, 2007. The location was great, very convenient to the side view of the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysees and Avenue Victor Hugo. We walked to the Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower with kids ages 6 & 8. The service from the staff even prior to arrival was 5 star. They made excellent recommendations for dinner reservations, tours, and sight-seeing. They recommended a deluxe junior suite with two rollaway beds for the children which were fine. The staff was always prompt in their e-mail correspondence and helpful. Once there, from the bellman (Larry in particular was wonderfully friendly and helpful saving us the cab fare to the Eiffel Tower) to the reception desk to the concierge and restaurant, everyone provided top notch service. The hotel is a boutique hotel designed for longer stays so there is plenty of room to stretch out and unpack.

We just returned from a three night stay at the Hotel Raphael. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. We arrived early in the morning (8:00a.m.) and tried to check in but there were no rooms available. We had reserved a Junior suite with an alcove. The front desk suggested that we go out for breakfast and and come back about 1:00 p.m. but at 10:30 they called our cell phone and told us that our room was ready. Much to our surprise, they upgraded us to a larger, beautiful suite. The hotel is in a perfect location. It seemed that it would cost about 10 euros to go anywhere in a taxi. The concierge is very helpful. Every suggestion they made for dinner was excellent. I agree with the previous reviewer about the drinks. We walked out of the bar because of the cost of the drinks. Nineteen euros for a vodka tonic!!!!! We could not justify paying that. I would definitely stay there again.

Found the Raphael staff to be charming and very polite and helpful. The hotel is well located being vertually on top of the Arc de triumph. The rooms were lovely, well sized pretty decoration and the bathroom was fabulous. It was a resplendant hotel at every level. The only negative comment relates to the price of drinks at the bar, as these were very expensive. Overall we had a great stay, were able to wander around Paris with ease from this location.

Elegant, with a welcoming staff,nice rooms, and a fabulous roof bar the Raphael is just down the street from the Arch de Triomphe. The metro station is at the front door, there are cafe's and shopping nearby. We enjoyed our stay, and will return.

I thought this was a truly wonderful hotel with lots of charm. I stayed at the hotel with two Egyptian Friends. We had the most beautiful rooms one on 4th floor one on 5th floor both with sea views. As mentioned in previous review there was a lot of traffice noise but this was Alexandria. The staff were very polite and most helpful. I loved the old style lift with ornate wrought iron decor and the chamber maids in their beautiful black and white uniforms. Our stay was during Ramadam and breakfast was arranged with no problem for my friends at 3am, I had mine at usual breakfast time in the most beautifully decorated dining room. The ceilings had some amazing artwork. The hotel is now 100 years old and staying there takes you back to that period of time - I loved it as did my egyptian friends and would certainly recommend it.

It has been 15 years since I've visited Alexandria and when I finally decided to spend a couple of nights there with my family, I decided to go with the well established name of the Windsor, but boy what a disappointment we had. At the moment of the reservation, we have requested two Superior Seaview rooms on a high floor that were confirmed, but upon check-in at 4 pm we were told that the only two rooms left were on the first and second floor, but we didn't make a fuss out of it. When we turned to our room at around 1 am we went directly to bed,but we were woken up by the sound of the air-conditioning that seemed as heavy drilling (which gave us a headache) in addition that it stopped cooling the air and shortly after, foul sewege smell began coming out of the bathroom which made it impossible to sleep. I work in the hotel business and know that nothing could be done at 2:30 am especially if the hotel is fully booked as they mentioned upon check-in, so I calmly asked to speak with the resident manager (who is the most courteous person in the whole hotel) and explained the problem, so he told me that we would change to another room if the problems cannot be fixed. They first offered to move us to a smaller room, but they gave us an upgrade afterwards, but unfortunately there was a problem with the airconditioning as well, so after I mentioned it at 10 am, they told me that it would be fixed. We then returned to the hotel at around 6 pm to find that nothing has been done and I've waited for 3 hours for a repairman to fix the ac (not to mention that the reception staff seemed upset and answered rudely when I continued to ask for the repairman!), so they told me me go out for the evening and when I come back everything would have been taken care off. When we returned at 1pm, the resident manager appologized that nothing could be done to solve the problem and that they have booked me in another hotel about 2 km distance and that it's all been taken care of (which in my field means that the stay is complimentary due to inconvenience!), so we prepared our luggage eventhough we were exhausted and drove to the Metropol Hotel which is of the same chain to find out that we have to pay the full price for the 6 hours of sleep that we'll be using since we're leaving early in the morning. I refused this kind of treatment, so I asked to speak with their General Manager who didn't want to speak over the phone but preffered to talk face to face. After waiting for 40 minutes more, he arrived and we began the discussion, he denied that a problem ever existed in the first room and after explaining to him internationally what the normal procedures are, he simply said: ' I have to collect my money!' After an extra 30 minutes of discussion, I told him that eventhough it's not fare at all but since my mother was so tired, I'll pay the rate of a standard room (I didn't request a Junior Suite and quite frankly don't care about the upgrading, since they moved us that late at night) and he tells me OK, so the rate for two nights will be... I couldn't beleive myself when he mentioned these words; to make me pay for a night when there was a hygenic problem that could lead to allergies and said that it was ridiculous, so after an extra 15 minutes of discussion, he agreed to the payment of just one night (how kind of him!). When we went up to the room, the TV remote didn't work, so i asked the reception to bring me some batteries and after 20 minutes waiting, I told them to forget about it and to notify their GM that they cannot solve this small problem, let's immagine air-conditioning or sewege that late! In conclusion, my advice is not to be fooled by the name as the management has changed and obviously keeping their reputation doesn't concren them anymore!
