Bonne situation, moyenne pour le métro mais aucun souci à prendre le bus avec la même metrocard, et pour ralier les principaux endroits touristiques, le bus est plus direct et on marche moins!! Hôtel très propre, chambre avec très belle vue, et prestations plus que sympa...piscine etc... A recommander en fonction du budget, mais par rapport à certains hôtels décevants de Broadway, il vaut mieux être un peu à l'écart et avoir un standing plus élevé pour le même prix...

hotel bien situé dans quartier calme ce qui est appréciable à new york , face à l'onu ,façade faisant luxe mais l'intérieur est un peu vétuste en comparaison , chambres grandes mais accueil moyen,avons eu la chambre à 17h et on a exigé un départ à 15h en contrepartie.demander étage élevé (à partir du 34ième vue splendide) et sur la est river si vous voulez plus calme . hotel très bon en qualité prix ,resto hors de prix prendre les petit dej à l'extérieur. piscine au 27ième pour le soir avec vue géniale!

Nous avons été enchanté par cet hôtel. Ayant demandé une chambre "normale" nous avons eu le privilège de recevoir (pour le même prix) une suite ! avec 2 chambres, 2 salles de bain et un grand salon avec vue sur l'Empire State et le Chrysler Building à droite et sur l‘East River à gauche. Malheureusement ce ne fut que pour une nuit mais cela nous a totalement ravi ! Les 2 points négatifs de l'hôtel sont, il est vrai, la distance de marche qu'il y a jusqu'à la station de métro et le prix du petit déjeuné. Mais ayant effectué, préalablement, un séjour à l'hôtel Kimberly, réellement décevant, malgré les excellentes critiques du site, nous reviendrons sans conteste au Millenium Un Plaza la prochaine fois que nous aurons l'occasion de séjourner à New York ! La vue y est totalement inimaginable et le personnel vraiment très très sympathique.

Je viens d’amener ma famille à New York pour la première fois. J’avais un peu peur de réserver un hôtel après toutes ces histoires horribles ! J’ai finalement choisi le Hilton Garden Inn Time Square et je suis TELLEMENT content de l’avoir fait ! Abordable, spacieux, un personnel vraiment excellent et serviable (qui a vraiment fait beaucoup pour moi à plus d’une occasion), SUPER BIEN SITUE (juste sur Time Square et proche de TOUT). Nous avons adoré New York et nous reviendrons et nous ne logerons nulle part ailleurs que là !

Il faut croire ce qu’on lit ici ! L’emplacement, le personnel, la propreté et l’équipement font de cet endroit un super hôtel. A la réservation, demandez une chambre d'angle « King ». Elle est un peu plus grande, très bien équipée avec deux fauteuils et un repose pieds. Nous avons réservé par le site Internet de l’hôtel et je vérifiais fréquemment les prix. Bien entendu, nous avons pu obtenir un meilleur prix lorsque nous étions plus proche du départ, économisant un total de 70 $ sur deux nuits. Le "restaurant Row" est à quelques rues de là, avec tout un choix de restaurants pour de somptueux dîners. Essayez cet hôtel, vous ne serez pas déçu.

Every since using Tripadvisor to help select hotels, we've not had a bad stay anywhere and the New York Palace was no exception. We stayed for 4 nights in early January and could not find fault with any aspect of our stay there. It's a very plush, grand hotel, which is in a great location and all the staff we encountered were helpful, very friendly and courteous - true pro's! Despite not asking for one, we were given a room on the 26th floor with that amazing view of St Patricks and the Rockefeller Centre. The bed was just enormous and was a treat for our aching limbs at the end of each day. The rooms are a great size and provide good extra's such as a proper hairdrier (not one of those contraptions that looks like a vacuum cleaner that needs the button permanently depressed to make it work!!) plus iron, ironing board, robe and slippers, free safe and a massive flat screen tv. The menu was outside what we prefer to pay (we got a fantastic package deal on hotel and flights thru lastminute.com hence selecting the hotel) so we choose not to eat there and can't comment on food. But there are so many great eateries in the city, that it didn't bother us. For those Europeans that wake up at 5am every morning before adjusting to local time, you get a newspaper hung on the outside of your door each morning. Sit back in the massive bed, plump up the cushions and relax! Will be back again one day!

We stayed at the Palace for 5 nights at the start of January.We emailed the hotel to say that we would be getting engaged on the plane on the way over and would it be possible to have a romm on a high floor with a view of the cathedral.We recieved an answer within 30 minutes from a lovely lady called Hende and she said she would see what she could do. Upon arrival at the hotel we checked in very quickly and were shown to our room immedialtely along with our luggage.The room was on the 31st floor and had the most amazing view of any hotel we have stayed in.Directly above St.Patricks and looking out over Saks and the Rockerfeller building!! We forgot to make a dinner reservation at Gilt,and at 5pm on a Saturday evening the only times available were 6.15 or 10.15,one a little early and the other a little late.We opted for 6.15 and need not have worried,as we did not leave the restaurant until gone 10pm.The food was perfect and the wine list very large. We can thoroughly recommend the prix fix at $78 per person. All the hotel staff are very friendly and the gym looked most impressive. All we can say is that we stayed in Claridges upon arriving back in London,and were very disappointed.The New york Palace made it look ordinary,and the the service was awful. We have just booked The New York Palace again for our honeymoon /New Years Eve. We cannot recommend this hotel and it's staff highly enough.

From start to finish our stay at the New York Palace was perfect. Before going we emailed the hotel directly to ask for a room with a view and we most definitely got one. Our room looked out over St Patrick's Cathedral and was gorgeous. Everyone at the hotel was incredibly helpful and made our stay very pleasant. I will stay here every time I go back to New York.

We stayed at The Palace for three nights and totally loved it. The staff was amazingly friendly, helpful and professional. The room was quite large for New York, nice view, comfy bed and pillows, flat screen TV, etc. All in all a lovely place to stay, if not a bit on the stuffy side. The bathroom was a tad small, but it was still quite comfortable. Location is great if you want to be near Central Park, 5th Avenue shopping, and Rockefeller Center. The hotel is directly behind Saint Patricks (not my favorite thing to visit but my family seemed to like that). My only warning is the cost of breakfast. The American breakfast was included with our room (thank god), but if one dallied from that and ordered a la cart, the cost became staggering. $10 for a cup of coffee, OR glass of orange juice, OR a muffin (yes, $10 for EACH of those things). You get the picture. Our omelettes and oatmeal dishes were quite tasty however. All in all I would stay there again if i wanted to be in that neighborhood. A rarity as the uptown shoppers are briefly entertaining but mostly tiresome. FYI the best hot cocoa on the Eastern Seaboard is at Rockefeller Center however. At La Maison du Chocolat. It will certainly set you back, but that's a cup that is well worth it.

My family and I stayed here during the holiday season for 4 days and do not have one problem with this place. It was one of our best experiences through and through. The staff couldn't have been friendlier, even remembering our child's name whenever returning to the hotel. It was very clean and decent size for a NY hotel. From helping with bags, to the restaurant, to atmosphere, this hotel was a homerun! We strongly recommend to anyone considering. we've stayed in many hotels in NY and this by far was top of the heap.

Le Salisbury Hôtel est un très bon hôtel. Nous y avons séjourné avec ma sœur et ma cousine de 17 ans et nous n'avons pas été déçues. Idéalement placé avec 2 stations de métro à proximité, à 10 minutes à pied de Times square et proche des restaurants. La chambre était grande avec 2 grands lits doubles, 2 fauteuils, un bureau et un petit dressing. Les lits confortables, le tout était vraiment très propre. Quant à la salle de bain, elle était fonctionnelle peut être un peu vieillotte mais vraiment bien. La chambre possédait également une kitchenette et un mini frigo. Le petit déjeuner était gratuit jusqu'au 31 aout ce qui etait pratique. Il se présentait sous la forme d'un buffet avec patisseries, pain, céréales, jus, boissons chaudes ... Trois bémols sont à ajouter : le bruit. Nous étions au 14ème étage et notre chambre était coté rue. C'était comme si nous dormions dans la rue. Boule Quiès recommandé. 2ème bémol : Internet payant et enfin 3ème bémol : les ascenceurs qui étaient vraiment longs à arriver. (Imaginer un peu lorsque vous êtes au 14ème étage le temps à attendre) Autrement, notre séjour au Salisbury etait agréable et New York est une ville fascinante.

Nous avons passé une semaine à NY début mai et avons séjourné au Salisbury. L'hôtel est peut-être un peu vieillot mais sa situation est vraiment parfaite. Le Salisbury est à 1 rue de Central Park, à 10 minutes à pied de Times Square et de ses théâtres, et 2 stations de métros sont à quelques pas. Bref, un quartier idéal pour découvrir "Big Apple". Le Carnegie Hall est quasiment en face de l'hôtel, les amateurs apprécieront. Il y a aussi d'excellents restaurants dans la W57th St., notamment un italien qui vaut le détour. Les chambres sont vraiment grandes (j'ai cru comprendre que c'est plutôt une exception!), deux queen beds très confortables, 1 penderie, un coin kitchenette, une salle de bain (un peu vieillotte mais fonctionnelle), télé, minibar, table à repasser, coffre-fort, bref tout ce qu'il faut. Nous étions au 14e étage (cela surprend au début pour les non-habitués!). Notre chambre donnait sur la rue et cela était malheureusement TRES bruyant, car l'air conditionné est en fait une sorte de ventilateur intégré à la fenêtre, qu'on ne peut pas fermer. Tout le bruit de la rue "remonte" et c'est comme si on a la fenêtre ouverte en permanence. Et comme New York est loin d'être calme... (pour info: j'ai acheté des ear plugs au drug store du coin de la rue pour pouvoir dormir tranquille). Le petit déjeuner est sympa, pas très diététique (muffins, bagels, thé, café, jus d'orange) mais c'est pratique de l'avoir sur place. Par contre, essayer d'arriver tôt (avant 8h30) car sinon tout est complet et les places sont chère. Et puis cela vaut la peine de prendre le breakfast à l'extérieur, par exemple au Health Bar (à 200m) qui sert des portions délicieuses et... gigantesques! En résumé le Salisbury est vraiment tout à fait recommandable, simple, confortable et sans chichis. Il y a certainement plus chic, plus design, plus élégant, mais... plus cher et pas forcément aussi bien situé.

	AFFINIA GARDENS - NEW YORK (NY) - US
My family and I spent a couple of nights at Affinia Gardens just after the new year. We were looking for accomodations which would suit our young family (2.5 year old and 4 month old). The suite was just perfect. The fold-out couch was good for the older and the younger stayed in the bedroom with us in a travel cot. Having a kitchen was great for a first early breakfast and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. (there is a CVS at the end of the street which sells all the basics you need for a quick in-room breakfast and the hotel provides coffee and dishwashing soap. The rooms were big by NYC standards. Having lived in this area of NYC in the past I was happy to return to this location which is close to good shopping, Central Park, the subway, etc. but out of the hustle bustle of the Times Sq hotel zone. I was also attracted to the hotel because of its in-room spa services, but unfortunately didn't get the chance to use them! The only problem was street noise. Our room was on the front of the building on the 2nd floor and the garbage trucks were loud. We were so tired at the end of the day it didn't really bother us, but naptimes were quite loud and didn't make for easy sleeping. (Ask for a room on the back!) The location is great though and for NYC the price wasn't too bad. We would definitely stay there again.
