The hotel accomodations were very nice and spacious. the small kitchenette was a wonderful surprise! the chinese restaurant in the hotel is absolutely spectacular and have already recommended it to several people thinking of visiting fairfax! breakfast in the morning was really super...we were all expecting juice and donuts and were very happy to eat hot bagels, cereal, many juices and pastries and hot tea/coffee. keep up the good work. we will definitely come back to this hotel when we are visiting fairfax again!!!

Mon cousin et moi-même avons séjourné dans ce riad lors de notre toute première visite à Fès (et au Maroc, en l’occurrence). Ce fut un excellent choix : l’hospitalité et le service étaient de première classe. Le riad en lui-même est une oasis de calme. Nous avions une suite avec un grand salon (et des fenêtres offrant une vue imprenable sur le Borj et les tombeaux mérinides : voir les photos), un coin salle à manger et une salle de bain luxueuse. Mon mini soin du visage était excellent et les petits déjeuners étaient divins. Et la liste continue. Honnêtement, je n’ai rien à redire! Je regrette seulement que notre séjour ait été aussi court. Ce riad a permis de rendre ma première visite à Fès inoubliable, en espérant qu’il y en aura plein d’autres. Toutes mes félicitations à Younes et à son personnel. Sans oublier le guide Hicham Chakir, un excellent choix. (Ann, Surrey, Angleterre).

Nous sommes venus dans cet hôtel pour la dernière nuit de notre aventure marocaine, après avoir vécu une mauvaise expérience la nuit précédente au Zalagh Park Palace qui est présenté comme un hôtel cinq étoiles mais qui en vaut trois au mieux. Nous sommes contents d’être partis de là car… Le Riad Maison Bleue est absolument fantastique et offre un service de qualité supérieure à tous points de vue. Les chambres sont très grandes et typiquement marocaines. Il y a de nombreuses touches créatives et artistiques ainsi que des petits escaliers amusants en zig-zag qui conduisent aux chambres et terrasses en retrait. Nous avons adoré notre séjour. C’est le riad jumeau de la Maison Bleue où nous sommes allés dîner. C’est également un excellent choix d’hébergement bien que plus simple que le Riad Maison Bleue. Nous avons préféré la disposition non conventionnelle des chambres. Mais les deux offrent un service exceptionnel. Si vous n’avez jamais goûté de festin marocain dans un vieux riad, « La Maison Bleue » est un bon choix. Cependant, nous ne l’avons pas trouvé spécialement différent ni exceptionnel. C’était sans aucun doute un excellent repas mais un peu trop surévalué ; à moins que vous n’ayez jamais dîné de la sorte. De plus, on peut aller directement à la médina à pied donc pas besoin de taxis. Il faut juste traverser le parking depuis le Riad Maison Bleue. Le personnel, très serviable et aimable, vous montrera le chemin. C’est le genre d’endroit où le personnel vous remercie individuellement pour avoir séjourné ici et vous raccompagne personnellement jusqu’à l’allée pour vous mettre dans le taxi en direction de l’aéroport. Les coffres ont même été laissés ouverts pour nous montrer que tout était bien rangé. Je ne taris pas d’éloges au sujet de ce personnel aimable. Par ailleurs, je recommande fortement les services de l’excellent chauffeur/guide, Hamid Khalifi, qui parlait également l’anglais. Portable : 061.25.04.42. Il est digne de confiance, bien informé et incroyablement généreux et sympathique. Il possède une belle Mercedes, a travaillé pour les plus grandes agences de voyages et est très professionnel.

We traveled to Fes on our honeymoon and I was very impressed with the staff at Riad Maison Bleue, they really seemed keen that we not only enjoyed our stay with them, but that we also got the best of of Fes by arranging guides not only to Fes but also for a day trip. The Riad itself was beautiful with amazing tiles which where reminiscent of the palaces that we visited whilst in the city. A great tip for this place would be to make sure that you eat in Riad Maison Bleue at least one night, excellent food and great value.

I don’t know any other hotel in Fes, but I simple don’t think I would need that. Just spent a night at the Riad Maison Bleue, and I can only recommend it at the highest level. The location is simply perfect: just at one of the doors of the Medina, but also on a very accessible area. Maybe the doors are difficult to find, but a simple call to the Reception and we got a man to guide us to the Riad. Once inside we were greeted with green mint tea, and installed in the courtyard in order to fill in the registration forms. All very discreet, as service was during our stay. Don’t expect so called “top-class” service with up-nose staff feeling richer than you because they met Madonna last week. Just relax, because you will feel at home. We had booked two suites and boy were they great! All so authentic, all so well appointed, great fruit-baskets in each suite, perfectly working air-con, both suites facing the quiet, lovely, fresh and impressive courtyard. Our suite with two beds was quite large, with a separate living room and a bedroom with an en-suite living area as well. The queen-size bed suite was a large room with an en-suite living area including two great sofas, and a “baldaquin” bed. Bathrooms were simply beautiful. Again, don’t look for state-of-the-art amenities, like Bvlgari toilet products or a perfectly equipped minibar. You are at a small Riad in Fes, close to the Medina, not in London or Geneva. However, everything worked fine, something you cannot assure in many well known European palaces, and both TVs were set in the Spanish channel. I can tell you not all 8.000 euros per suite hotel do that... It’s a silly detail, but it is appreciated (even though I switched to an Arab chain as soon as I could and even though you probably won’t be watching TV when the Medina is waiting for you 24 hours a day). We booked a guide through the hotel. The man was perfect: he knew everything, took us to the places we wanted to see (rather than to the places were he would like us to go), to a great restaurant, shopping, helped us discussing prices, showed us the Medersa and lost corners of the Medina, and all for such a small fee… And he was there within 10 minutes after we requested the service to the hotel manager, speaking very good Spanish. Diner and breakfast were at the Riad as well. Really, you don’t need to go out for diner when you are at this place. Simply relax in your suite after the long day, and come downstairs for a great and typical diner, where service will be perfect and food just awesome. Don’t be surprised by water served in plastic bottles, or for only having one waiter: you are in Fes, not in Paris “chez Alain Ducasse”. Entries are wonderful, main courses as well, but leave a place for the best desert you’ll ever have. And all with live music from some really funny musicians. Ok, the restaurant is quite expensive for the Medina standards, but it’s still great deal for Europeans. Breakfast was astonishing. I had never had such breakfast before, starting with a bowl of some kind of cooked rice on a spicy sauce (but simply perfect), a true orange-juice (oranges are impressive in Morocco, and the one telling you this is from Spain, main producer in Europe), and then great pastries with crêpes and Moroccan pies with honey or jam. The best thing to get ready for a long trip back through the mountains. All in all, we came looking for a true Fes experience… and this is what we got. If you are looking for the same, maybe one or two nights, or maybe more, stay away from the big hotels in the modern area of the city (which is actually quite far away). Get inside here, and feel the city as it must be felt. Don’t worry for the noise… it is surprisingly quiet inside the Riad. They also have another sister hotel, with swimming-pool, spa and so… Didn’t have the time to check it, but didn’t miss it. If you cannot leave without those facilities, stay only for one or two days in Fes before going back to your resort, but consider that a resort can be found anywhere in the world, being all more or less the same. A Riad at the Medina is different. Once you know this one in particular, you don’t feel like needing any other.

Le riad fès baraka est vraiment très agréable, il est doté d'une équipe souriante et attentionnée. Vous vous sentirez comme chez vous dans ce patio fleuri et présentant une piscine, où il fait bon se baigner. Tester les tajines préparés maison, lors des diners, ils ne peuvent que vous satisfaire.

accueil et propreté impeccables. chambres du rez de chaussée absolument époustouflantes tant la déco est belle. c'est beau partout, sans manque de gout, et sans kitsch étouffant comme dans certains ryads. Salles de bains envoutantes. Une excellente adresse à recommander sans hésiter.Grand calme, et attention de tous les instants de l aprt de Khadidja. le petit déjeuner est très copieux, et les repas concoctés le soir par khadidja sont d'une très grande finesse. Une adresse à recommander sans hésiter, par contre le quartier autour est infect. Heureusement, on est très vite à la station principale de taxi (trois minutes de marche à peine) et on est ttrès central pour la visite de la medina et du musée.Mais il faut mieux rentrer le jour tout de même, pas pour les agressions, il y a tout le temps du monde, mais pour pas se faire une fracture de la cheville en tombant dans un trou en remontant l'impasse..à part ça, adresse encore une fois superbe...UN rêve..

Je suis allé au Ryad Baraka avec ma femme et mon fils pour trois jours durant mon récent séjour de 2 semaines au Maroc. J’ai réservé directement par Internet. Nous sommes arrivés d’Erfoud à 480 km de là en voiture. Khadija nous a accueillis comme si nous étions des amis de longue date et l’appartement berbère que nous avions était encore mieux qu’il avait l’air sur le site.
