J’y ai passé une nuit. Comme j’y étais déjà allé il y a bien longtemps, on m’a offert un surclassement dans une suite supérieure donnant sur la Water tower. Superbe. L’accueil est fantastique, tout comme le service dans la chambre et au bar. Vivement recommandé, rien à redire.

J’ai passé deux nuits au Park Hyatt Chicago en septembre, un séjour très agréable. L’hôtel est en plein cœur de Chicago et offre une vue exceptionnelle sur la Water Tower et le lac Michigan. La chambre (Deluxe King), de qualité supérieure, était dotée d’un des lits les plus confortables que j’aie jamais eu l’occasion d’essayer. La salle de bains aussi était luxueuse, équipée d’un mini téléviseur et d’une douche séparée. Il y a également une vitre entre la salle de bains et la chambre qui permet de prendre son bain en regardant Chicago, si on veut. Le service était très attentif (bien qu’un peu formel) et les équipements excellents. Le restaurant et le bar étaient aussi de grande qualité. Dans cet hôtel les prix sont assez élevés, mais on en a pour son argent. C’est un vrai plaisir d’y séjourner.

The Park Hyatt in Chicago is a beautiful hotel in the BEST location in the city. Overlooking the historical water tower right in the heart of the Miracle Mile - right next to the best bars and restaurants. The service is great and the staff very friendly. Our view was of the water tower with the lake in the background on both of our stays. Room Service is very good too - and while it is expensive - it's not as crazy as some other 5 star hotels I've stayed at.

While The Peninsula and the Intercontinental "decked the halls", the Park Hyatt's holiday decor was minimal at best...practically non existent. As a receptionist explained, "It was at the owner's discretion and decision." It was our single greatest disappointment. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice. We had a problem with a noisy family next door our first day and managment immediately moved us to a higher, much quieter location. From our window seat and bird's eye view on the 18th floor we watched the shopper's below on Michigan Avenue. Michigan Avenue itself made up for the lack of holiday decorations in the hotel lobby. The Park Hyatt's central location by the Water Tower could not have been more perfect for access to shopping, restaurants, theatres and Holy Name Cathedral. While the room was very nice and comfortable, (What other hotel would dare use WHITE bed linens AND comforters?) for the price, I noticed a few "little things". Towels were worn and tired. Although I asked for face cloths, only hand towels were delivered. Wash cloths seemed to be scarce. The bathroom was huge with separate shower and a soaking tub with a small TV above the sink. But, there was no decent lighting for applying makeup. The granite vanity in front of the window would have been perfect, but the bathroom was just too dark even with the blind open. While most 5 star hotels have added LCD or plasma TVs, the Park Hyatt still has dated flat screens. Overalll, though, we enjoyed our stay. Managment and the concierge could not have been more helpful and pleasant. I just wish there had been just a little more fa la la la la.

My husband & I stayed at the Park Hyatt last weekend (12/8/07) for his 40th birthday. I had researched hotels quite a bit before our trip and am very happy that I chose the Park Hyatt over the Peninsula. (We did have a drink in the Peninsula lobby. Lovely hotel, but a little too traditionally decorated for my taste.) When I made the Park Hyatt reservation, I requested a lake view. Once we were there, however, they said all the lake views were "committed." I decided to at least take a look at the city view, but once we got to the room, I did not like the city view at all. I called the front desk. They looked into it, apologized profusely and found a room with a lake view on the 18th floor that would be ready in about 20 minutes. They sent the bellman up for our bags, and he escorted us to the library just off the lobby, where we were served complimentary champagne. Our new room was ready about 10 minutes later. Not only did it have a beautiful lake view, but it was a corner room, so we had windows on two sides. Fantastic! The hotel was beautiful, and the staff was very gracious. We will definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed the stay very much.it was a clean hotel however the only complaint we have is that we were given a free breakfast one morning.the breakfast we got was cold although the coupon said hot.this would not keep me from staying there in the future but i am letting you know so that maybe you can correct the problem for other guest.

Ma femme et moi avons passé trois nuits au Fairmont et nous avons trouvé ce séjour fabuleux. Nous sommes arrivés tôt (à 10h00) et il y avait une chambre de disponible. J’avais indiqué à la personne que j’avais eue au téléphone que c’était notre anniversaire de mariage et cette information avait été transmise à l’accueil. Nous avons eu une chambre avec vue sur le lac et, comme vous avez déjà pu le lire dans d’autres comptes rendus, les chambres sont spacieuses et bien décorées. La salle de bain est très agréable, mais pourrait être légèrement rénovée. On nous a fait monter des fraises au chocolat le premier soir et on nous a offert des bons pour un petit déjeuner complet et une boisson gratuite dans le hall de l’hôtel. On nous a recommandé d’excellents restaurants. Je dois aussi préciser que nous avons eu un tarif spécial en réservant par téléphone (119 $ la nuit). Peut-être était-ce dû en partie au fait que c’était le week-end du Memorial Day. Quoi qu’il en soit, le Fairmont a contribué à nous faire passer un très bon week-end et tout le personnel s’est mis en quatre pour nous satisfaire.

Excellent emplacement, on dirait un hôtel de charme. Juste à côté de Neiman Marcus (un grand magasin très cher) et à 2 minutes à pied de la tour John Hancock. Comme dans la plupart des hôtels américains moyens ou haut de gamme, le service était excellent, du chasseur à la réception. Demandez un surclassement en suite si vous restez plus de deux jours, car explorer cette ville venteuse à pied peut être fatigant, et avec une suite on se sent dans un petit appartement. Le pub au sous-sol est parfait pour prendre un sandwich et une bière. L'hôtel va être rénové, alors profitez des prix actuels car je pense qu'ils vont viser une clientèle plus aisée par la suite.

Super hôtel situé à un pâté de maisons de Michigan Avenue. Accueil agréable du chasseur et chambres prêtes à 15 h. Les chambres sont jolies, grandes, il y a une zone pour s'asseoir. Oui, les salles de bains sont petites mais satisfaisantes et propres. Ils pourraient changer la moquette. Les lits sont très confortables. Les ascenseurs n'étaient jamais occupés, vu la taille de l'hôtel. Le matin, le café commandé arrivait dans les 5 minutes, ça c'est du service. Le pub Fitzer en bas est sympa et relaxant si on veut se détendre après une longue journée de shopping et Manny le barman sait faire son métier et a beaucoup de personnalité. Bref, j'ai aimé et je reviendrai.

Stayed at the Chicago Affinia Dec 10 thru Dec 12 and was very impressed with the staff, the room, and the location. Close to shopping and the pizza place next door was great. Of course, there were many other restaraunts nearby as well. I had a little trouble figuring out the heat, but it was fine once I learned how to set it. They were working on the hotel, so we got a great rate. But the work never bothered us. The room was great, with the walk-in shower in the spacious bathroom a wonderful surprise. I would definately stay here again and would recommend to others.

LOVED this hotel. We were fortunate enough to get the Travelzoo rate of $99/night which included free parking! They upgraded us to a junior suite which was beautiful! The staff went out of their way to make sure everything went well during out stay. Can't say enough good things about this hotel . . . and I am picky about my hotels!

Took advantage of a great rate offered through Travelzoo and was not disappointed. Some renovation is taking place at the entrance and lobby, and the restaurant is presently closed. The hotel is only one block off the Magic Mile (Michigan Ave), and there is a public parking garage across the street ($36/day)should you decide not to use the hotel's valet parking ($40/day). There are no ice or vending machines on the floors, but the hotel will deliver ice to your room. The rooms were excellent, with great beds and linens, flat screen tv', and a refrigerator. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel will loan out several free packages to help you enjoy your stay in Chicago. We took the waking tour package, which had 50 seperate walking tours detailed, along with apppropriate maps and a pedometer. Would definetly recommend this hotel.

Nous revenons du Sheraton hotel and towers de Chicago et nous en avons été très satisfait. L'hotel est récent, spacieux et confortable. La décoration est harmonieuse dans des couleurs chaleureuses (marron, beige, caramel, sable...), le hall est très agréable. Il y a 3 restaurants dont un qui donnent sur la promenade le long de la chicago river (le burger quelque chose). Il est correct. Les chambres sont très confortables, lit king size (très bonne literie), petit canapé, table basse, bureau, miroirs, TV, mini bar, placard spacieux et éclairé, peignoir, salle de bain avec baignoire, coffre fort. Nous étions au 27eme étage. La chambre donnait vers le nord (et non sur la rivière). Vue sur parking (bof) et sur builidings éclairés (mieux). Seul bémol: la robinetterie. Le soir, pour prendre une douche, il fallait faire couler de l'eau au moins 5 mn en continu (quel gâchis) pour avoir enfin de l'eau chaude. Sinon service correct: personnel serviable, fruits offerts dans le couloir, revues mises à disposition. Bonne situation: permet de se ballader le long de la rivière et de profiter de la vue tout en étant à 2 pas du loop et du magnificent mile. A savoir: pour repartir à l'aéroport, les taxis sont juste devant. Compter 20dollars par personnes pour l'aéroport d'O' hare.

Just returned from a 4 day trip to shop, see the Aquarium and go to Wicked. The Sheraton surpassed our expectations as frequent business travellers. Clean, great location, great views. Pool and workout facility are well run. Club floors had access to the best continental breakfast going and late day hors d'houvres in their 2 storey club lounge. Warning; valet parking is $42/day but self park is just a bit less. No free internet access. Would recommend JP Clarkes across the street for dinner; Unos for deep dish pizza; Wicked as a must see show. Will definitely go back to this Sheraton.
